Ferlax Right At Home For Guineas

Friday, 15th March 2013

Approaching tomorrow's Gr1 Royal Randwick Guineas at Warwick Farm, form students could be forgiven for having concerns that Victorian raider Ferlax may struggle with the clockwise direction of the Sydney track. According to nztm.co.nz, that's highly unlikely to be the case, with the undefeated Gr1 Australian Guineas winner being trained by Jim Conlan at a private facility that's right-handed. The conditioner, who walked Warwick Farm's track, says it's not too dissimilar to Echuca where Ferlax won his Maiden. Ferlax is currently a $13 chance, with Rebel Dane ($2.90) & Proisir ($3.40) expected to fight out the finish.
