At Trentham in NZ, 4YO gelding Natuzzi (Coats Choice-Monsanto, by Kilimanjaro) scored by 1.5 lengths for trainer P Richards in the $50,000 Listed Melbourne Racing Club Lightning Stakes (1200m) for 3YO+, over 4YO mare Trepidation (Falkirk-Rebellious Angel, by Success Express) & 4YO mare Special Draw (Falkirk-Summer Nymph, by Danske). A $9,000 NZ Bloodstock South Island 2YO Sale graduate, Natuzzi took his record to 6 wins (including 2012's Listed Southland Guineas) & 3 placings (including last start 2nd in the Gr3 White Robe Lodge Stakes) from 14 starts for $108,750 earnings.
