Eliza Park Placed On Market

Wednesday, 20th March 2013

One of Australia's leading thoroughbred stud farms is to be sold. Listed with Inglis' property division, Eliza Park is expected to attract interest from around the world. According to CEO Cameron Croucher, the Eliza Park offering includes 6 properties in two States, plus shares and standing rights in 14 stallions. "An extensive international marketing campaign will be implemented and expressions of interest will be called for before a closing tender date of April 26th." Principal Lee Fleming commented: "As a third generation breeder, Eliza Park is the culmination of a life long ambition, although when starting out I never imagined it would grow to what it is now. It is with somewhat mixed emotions that I've made the decision to offer the stud for tender." Eliza Park stands 10 stallions at its Kerrie base in Victoria, with facilities for 4 in Queensland where Australian Champion 1st Season Sire Written Tycoon currently stands.
