France's Osarus Breeze Ups On Track
The all-weather track at Pornichet in the west of France will host the second Osarus breeze-up sale on 30 April. There are 86 lots catalogued, with 22 out of black-type mares, or mares that have already produced black-type performers. The first catalogue since the alliance between Osarus/Tattersalls is greatly superior in quality in comparison to last year and the sale is supported by the leading French breeze-up consignors. A diverse range of sires will be represented by their 1st crops of two-year-olds, such as Soldier of Fortune (6), Naaqoos (4), Le Havre (2), Artiste Royal (1), Barastraight (1), Bushranger (1) and Creachadoir (1). Five 2YOs from the last crop of Green Tune will also be offered for sale. Last year's breeze-up at Pornichet (from only 38 horses offered for sale) produced winners such as Plaine Monceau (sold for €8,000 by Séverine Quéré: 5 wins, 4 places and €101,427) or Vilna (sold for €30,000 by Haras de Saint Arnoult: 2 wins, 4 places and €71,487). All lots will breeze from 8.30am with the sale starting at 2.30pm.
