Lord Kanaloa Wins Japan Gr1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen

At Chukyo racecourse, Japan's Champion 3YO Colt and dual Gr1 winner King Kamehameha added a major stakes success when 5YO entire Lord Kanaloa (King Kamehameha–Lady Blossom, by Storm Cat) scored a 1.25-lengths win for trainer Takayuki Yasuda in the Gr1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen (the 2nd leg of the Global Sprint Challenge) over 1200m for 4YOs+, over 6YO entire Dream Valentino (Roses in May-Cosmo Valenti, by Meiner Love) and 4YO entire Hakusan Moon (Admire Moon-Ciliege, by Sakura Bakushin O). Champion Sprinter/Miler of Japan in 2012, Lord Kanaloa took his record to 10 wins (including the 2012 Gr1 Hong Kong Sprint, 2012 Gr1 Sprinters Stakes, Gr3 Hankyu Hai, Gr3 Silk Road Stakes & Gr3 Keihan Hai) & 5 placings (including 2nd in both the Gr2 Hanshin Centaur Stakes & Gr3 Hakodate Sprint, & 3rd in the Gr1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen) from 15 starts.
