Darci Brahma Singapore Champion Son Retired To Stud

Tuesday, 2nd July 2013

Star Singapore-raced 4YO entire Super Easy (Darci Brahma-Parfore, by Gold Brose) who won last weekend's Gr1 Patron's Bowl at Kranji has been retired and will stand at a yet to be confirmed stud farm, reports racenet.com.au. Sold by Esker Lodge for $NZ140,000 to Blue Sky Thoroughbreds at the 2010 NZB National Yearling Sale, Super Easy's track record-breaking debut as a juvenile at Trentham set the scene for what was to follow; as a 3YO in Singapore last season Super Easy treated all rivals with contempt, putting a winning sequence together for trainer Michael Freedman of 11 undefeated runs, six of which were black-type events. Subsequently named both Singapore Champion 3YO and Horse of the Year, his latest win took his record to 15 wins (also including 2012's Gr1 Singapore Guineas over 1600m, Gr2 Singapore 3YO Classic over 1400m & Gr3 Singapore 3YO Sprint over 1200m, Gr3 Three Rings Trophy over 1400m & 2011's Gr2 E.W.Barker Trophy over 1400m) and 5 placings (including 3rd in the Gr1 Krisflyer International Sprint & Gr2 Stewards' Cup, and 2nd in the Gr1 Kranji Mile in Oct 2012, and as a 2YO in NZ before heading to Singapore, runner-up in the Gr3 Eclipse Stakes over 1200m at Ellerslie) from 23 starts.
