Boom Sydney 2YO Colts Back Up

Friday, 5th July 2013

Meanwhile, an intriguing clash between boom colts Bull Point (Fastnet Rock-Rose of Cimmaron, by Bite the Bullet) & Eurozone (Northern Meteor-Miss Vandal, by Don't Say Halo) promises to be one of the highlights at Rosehill Gardens tomorrow. The exciting juveniles, who signalled big futures when overcoming difficulties to post brilliant debut victories in June, will line up in the $85,000 Australian Turf Club Handicap (1200m). Both Bull Point (trained by Gai Waterhouse) & Eurozone (trained by Bart Cummings) are graduates of the 2012 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale where they fetched $960,000 and $110,000 respectively. Bull Point (raced by a syndicate which includes Coolmore Stud) is from the family of group winners Mica's Pride, Varenna Miss & Criterion, while Eurozone (part-owned by Dato Tan Chin Nam), is a three-quarter bother to Gr2 Hill Stakes winner Miss Marielle (Encosta de Lago).
