At Monmouth in the US, 5YO entire Big Blue Kitten (Kitten's Joy-Spent Gold, by Unaccounted For) scored a 1.25-lengths victory for trainer Chad Brown in the US$525,000 Gr1 Monmouth United Nations Stakes (2200m) for 3YOs+, over 6YO gelding Teaks North (Northern Afleet-Teaksberry Road, by High Honors) & fellow 5YO entire Hangover Kid (Lemon Drop Kid-Absolute Patience, by Rakeen). Big Blue Kitten took his record to 9 wins (including 2011's Gr2 National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes at Saratoga) & 6 placings (including 3rd in 2012's Gr1 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap) from 16 starts.
