Al Samer Relocated To Clear Mountain Fairview
Duel stakes-winning Emirates Park stallion Al Samer (Redoute's Choice-My Lady's Key, by Key to the Mint) will continue his stud career in Queensland. The son of Redoute's Choice will stand at Clear Mountain Fairview, situated in Queensland's fertile breeding region, the Darling Downs, at a service fee of $2,500 (inc GST). Al Samer was retired to stud in 2006 following a turf career which netted 2 wins (namely the Gr3 Black Opal Stakes at Canberra & the Listed Darby Munro Stakes at Rosehill) & a placing (3rd in the Listed Magic Millions behind Bradbury's Luck) from 7 starts for $277,250 earnings. From four crops of racing age, the promising Al Samer has already sired 89 individual winners from 176 runners with his best progeny being Gr3 VRC Carbine Club Stakes & Listed MRC Gothic Stakes winner Mr Chard, Listed MRC John Dillon Stakes winner Le Remas, & Listed VRC Anzac Day Stakes & MVRC St Albans Stakes winner Underestimation. Clear Mountain Fairview principal Bob Frappell is pleased at the prospect of the quality young stallion joining his roster, which also includes Outback Prince, Primus, Tycoon Ruler & Zaha. He commented, "We thought that Al Samer could prove an ideal addition to our stallion roster. We are excited about standing him in Queensland as his credentials include multiple Group winners and a winners-to-runners strike rate of over 50 per cent."
