Jacaranda City Comes Alive For Ramornie

The Clarence River Jockey Club has received 14 acceptances for the $150,000 Listed Ramornie Handicap (1200m) at Grafton today. The club's showpiece event has attracted a quality field that includes top weight & last year's winner, Howmuchdoyouloveme, dual Gr3 winner Adebisi, Gr2 winner Youthful Jack, Listed winner Border Rebel, speedy stakes winner Pentasia and Gr3-placed Skating On Ice. The Ramornie has long enjoyed a reputation as the premier sprint on NSW's country & provincial racing circuit with an honour roll that includes Gr1 winner's Takeover Target (2004) & Razor Sharp (1981). Grafton is famous for its Jacaranda trees and hosts its world renowned Jacaranda Festival from late October each year.
