Peslier Declares Intello "Best 3YO In Europe"
Champion French jockey Olivier Peslier expects Intello (Galileo-Impressionnante, by Danehill) to assert himself as Europe's best three-year-old when he lines up in the Gr1 Prix Jacques le Marois (1600m) at Deauville next month, reports sportinglife.com. Trained by Andre Fabre, the German-bred 3YO has built an impressive record of 5 wins from 6 starts including victories in the Gr1 Prix du Jockey Club (French Derby) in June & most recently the Gr3 Prix Messidor at Maisons-Laffitte, leaving Peslier in no doubt about the horse's ability. "My horse is very good. It will be interesting to see what happens, but my horse is very strong and I like him very much," stated Peslier. "First there is the Prix Jacques le Marois, then we will see what is happening... When he won the French Derby we had a good pace. He is very strong and he is the best three-year-old in Europe." If Intello performs to expectations at his next assignment, connections will consider pushing on to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in October.
