Tattersalls July Day-1: Turnover Highest Since 2008

Turnover on Day-1 of the 2013 Tattersalls July Sale in England more than doubled to 2,819,600 guineas from 176 lots sold overnight. The average rose 72 percent to 16,020 guineas while the median finished 11 percent up at 6,100 guineas. The clearance rate finished at an impressive 84 percent. The sale, comprising 602 horses and fillies in training, runs for another two days which will include the sale of 77 broodmares as well as another 57 horses and fillies out of training.
