Bumper Nominations For VOBIS Gold
A mammoth 1,332 yearlings have been nominated for Victoria's lucrative racing and breeding incentive scheme, VOBIS Gold, for which nominations closed on June 30. Headlining nominations is Australia's record-breaking yearling and half-brother to Black Caviar, the $5 million colt 'Jimmy', who has been paid up to VOBIS Gold by owners BC3 Thoroughbreds. Nominations have risen almost 10 per cent on the debut season's final acceptors and follow the recent announcement of enhancements to the lucrative VOBIS Gold scheme which offers significant financial rewards to those who choose to breed and race in Victoria. RV's Chief Executive Officer, Bernard Saundry, said he was delighted with the take-up after a terrific result in the scheme's debut season: "The lure of VOBIS Gold riches has seen a fabulous uptake of nominations and we are pleased to be offering owners even more opportunities to earn a greater return on their investment in the 2013-14 racing season."
