Fasig-Tipton July Yearling Sale: Core Stats Up

Wednesday, 17th July 2013

The Fasig-Tipton July yearling sale ended on Monday at Lexington, Kentucky, with both the average and median up on last year, reports bloodhorse.com. The one-day sale recorded a 10.45 per cent increase in the average to US$89,785, and a 20 per cent increase in the median to US$72,000. The aggregate was down 4.7 per cent, but that was to be expected with only 222 horses offered (down 21.5 per cent from 2012) due to reduced foal crop numbers.
