Breeders' Cup Board Gets 3 New Directors
Bill Oppenheim, J. David Richardson, M.D., & Elliott Walden have been announced as newly elected directors to the Breeders' Cup Board, reports thoroughbreddailynews.com. The 48 Breeders' Cup Members voted for 5 positions to its Board of directors at its annual meeting which ended on Tuesday. The re-elected Roy Jackson, along with Oppenheim & Richardson, will serve 4-year terms, while Barry Weisbord, also re-elected, will serve 3 years, replacing the term of outgoing Oliver Tait. Walden won a runoff election with Jerry Crawford to claim the final board position which is a 1-year term to replace David Willmot.
