Violence Debut Fee Set At US$15,000

Thursday, 18th July 2013

One time pre-post Kentucky Derby favourite Violence (Medaglia d'Oro-Violent Beauty, by Gone West) will stand at Hill 'n' Dale Farms in Kentucky next year for a fee of US$14,000, reports bloodhorse.com. The 3YO son of top Darley shuttler Medaglia d'Oro showed tremendous promise winning 3 of his 4 starts, including the Gr1 Hollywood Futurity (8.5-furlongs). His only defeat was in the Gr2 Fountain Of Youth Stakes (8.5-furlongs) at Gulfstream to eventual Kentucky Derby winner Orb. Hill 'n' Dale President John Sikura has no doubt Violence has what it takes to make it at stud. "Violence is a great horse to look at, and possesses all the traits of an outstanding sire prospect – precocity with classic ability, physicality, and a huge pedigree, hailing from the family of champions Sky Beauty, Maplejinsky, Gold Beauty and Dayjur."
