Bull Point Seeking Amends At Rosehill Gardens

Friday, 19th July 2013

Talented juvenile Bull Point (Fastnet Rock-Rose of Cimmaron, by Bite the Bullet) will be out to restore his sizable reputation when he lines up in the Forum Group Sprint (1200m) for 2YOs at Rosehill tomorrow. The son of Coolmore stallion Fastnet Rock, who was a $960,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling, created headlines with his brilliant debut in early June, only to have his colours slightly lowered by Bart Cummings' rising star Eurozone last-start. Bull Point did well to get within a length of Eurozone after a slow start and wide trip cost him dearly. He has now missed the jump at both his career outings, a deficiency that can be remedied given his youth but one that must be overcome if he is to realise his undoubted potential. An interesting rival for Bull Point worth keeping an eye on is the Bjorn Baker-trained Killcareless. Bred by Tony Santic's Makybe breeding operation, the More Than Ready filly was a $250,000 yearling at the 2012 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale and is closely related to Arrowfield Stud's champion stallion Redoute's Choice.
