Milk It Mick Sires First Stakes-Winner

At Newbury in the UK, dual Gr1-winning stallion Milk It Mick (Millkom-Lunar Music, by Komaite) sired his first stakes winner when 2YO colt Miracle of Medinah (Milk it Mick-Smart Ass, by Shinko Forest) saluted in the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes last Friday, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. Milk It Mick stands at Kelanne Stud in Hampshire at a fee of £1,500 following a two-year stint at the Haras de la Foret in France. The 12YO began his stud career at Lone Oak Stud in Newmarket. Milk It Mick won the Gr1 Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket for trainer Jamie Osborne before taking out the Gr1 Frank E Kilroe Mile Handicap at Santa Anita when transferred to the US stable of Jim Cassidy. He won 6 of 28 starts for £395,286 earnings.
