Racing NSW Appeal Panel – Status Of Current Appeals
The following appeals have been scheduled at the offices of Racing NSW, Sydney on Friday, 2nd August 2013:
9:30am - Licensed jockey Glyn Schofield has lodged an appeal against the severity of the penalty imposed by Racing NSW Stewards at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, 20 July 2013. On return to scale after Race 1 (Forum Group Sprint, 1200m), jockey Glyn Schofield, rider of third placegetter Wouldn't It Be Nice, weighed in more than 0.5kg under his declared weight of 59 kg at scale. Mr Schofield was charged and pleaded guilty under AR143(b).
Not before 11am - Licensed trainer Danny Bowen has lodged an appeal against the severity of the penalty imposed by Racing NSW Stewards following an analyst's finding of a prohibited substance collected from the racehorse Horoscopes after it won the Open Handicap (1420m) at Grafton on Monday, 25 March 2013. Mr Bowen was charged and pleaded guilty under AR177.
