Waller Well-Bred First-Timer At Newcastle

Friday, 26th July 2013

Meanwhile, well-bred first-timer Moelleux (Encosta de Lago-Vouvray, by Zabeel) will make his debut at Newcastle tomorrow. The 3YO, by Encosta de Lago from Zabeel's Gr1 Queensland Oaks winning daughter Vouvray, will carry the famous all-cerise silks of the Ingham family who purchased the gelding for $270,000 at the 2011 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale. Moelleux will debut over 1850m in the second race on the card, the Michael Evers & Co Maiden Plate, suggesting trainer Chris Waller believes he has an out-and-out stayer on his hands.
