First Foal For So You Think

Monday, 29th July 2013

The first foal by 10-time Gr1 winning champion galloper So You Think (High Chaparral-Triassic, by Tights) has been born at Bell View Park Stud near Berry in New South Wales, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. Born at approximately 4:30pm on Thursday, July 25, the colt is out of the Al Maher mare Soft Landing (Al Maher-Biscay Bird, by Bluebird), a half-sister to Gr1 winners Universal Prince and Universal Queen. Bell View Park Stud's business manager Adam Mackrell commented, "The colt is a nice leggy, dark coloured foal with plenty of size and quality. He is in the same mould as So You Think himself." Despite being two weeks premature, Mackrell stated the colt, which weighed in at a healthy 58.5 kg, was a good-sized foal. "We are very happy with the foal and it is a positive start for So You Think as a sire."
