Former Arrowfield Shuttler Dies In The US
Leading US sire & former Arrowfield Stud shuttler Unbridled's Song (Unbridled-Trolley Song, by Caro) was euthanized on Friday due to complications from a brain tumour, reports thoroughbreddailynews.com. The 20YO, who stood at Taylor Made Stallions in Nicholasville, Kentucky, has hitherto sired 96 stakes winners, including 44 group winners, from 14 crops of racing age with his best progeny including Gr1 winners Zensational, Midshipman, Octave, Thorn Song & his Gr2-winning Australian-bred son Grey Song (Unbridled's Song-Tonzazip, by Kaapstad). Unbridled's Song also boasts the impressive statistic of having sired a Gr1 winner every year for 12 consecutive years. "Unbridled's Song was majestic from the beginning," remarked Taylor Made President & CEO Duncan Taylor. "Rarely are there horses that are supposed to be great from the beginning and actually are. Unbridled's Song was one of those great horses. He had it all – looks, pedigree, speed, and presence."
