Holy Roman Emperor Adds UK Gr3

Tuesday, 30th July 2013

At Ascot in the UK, dual Gr1-winning shuttler Holy Roman Emperor (Danehill-L'On Vite, by Secretariat) added a group success when 2YO filly Princess Noor (Holy Roman Emperor-Gentle Night, by Zafonic) scored by 2-lengths for trainer Roger Varian in the £50000 Gr3 Princess Margaret Stakes (6 furlongs) for 2YO fillies, over fellow fillies Queen Catrine (Acclamation-Kahira, by King's Best) & Along Again (Elusive City-American Adventure, by Miswaki). Princess Noor took her record to 2 wins from 4 starts for £33,418 earnings. Interestingly, Princess Noor's dam, Gentle Night, is a half-sister to Gr2 winner Land Of Dreams, who in turn is the dam of Emirates Park's 2011 Cartier Sprinter & 5-time Gr1 winner Dream Ahead (Diktat-Land of Dreams, by Cadeaux Genereux).
