NZ Oaks Winner Artistic Retired

Tuesday, 30th July 2013

Gr1 New Zealand Oaks winner Artistic (Darci Brahma-Artless, by Dahar) has been retired to stud, reports NZ Racing Desk. The Shaune Ritchie-trained four-year-old, who won 4 of 24 starts for NZ$276,494 in prize money, will retire as a broodmare at The Oaks Stud in Cambridge where she was born. Artistic has always been a special horse to the staff at The Oaks Stud having bottle fed her as a foal when her dam Artless died shortly after giving birth. Artistic retires as one of three Gr1 winners for her exciting young sire Darci Brahma.
