Coup Ay Tee Wins Listed Winter Challenge

At Rosehill Gardens, deceased former Berkley Stud-based Gr1 NZ 2000 Guineas-winning sire Danske (Danehill-Our Tristalight, by Sir Tristram) added a black-type success when 6YO gelding Coup Ay Tee (Danske-Flying Coup, by Tuscany Flyer) scored by 0.5-length for trainer Chris Waller in the $100,000 Listed Winter Challenge (1500m) for 3YOs+, over 5YO entire and stable mate Bayrir (Medicean-Balankiya, by Darshaan) & 7YO gelding Kinnersley (Al Maher-Miss Radiant, by Geiger Counter). This was Coup Ay Tee's maiden stakes victory and took his record to 8 wins & 10 placings (including the last-start Listed Winter Stakes at Rosehill) from 27 starts for $401,237 earnings. The imported runner-up was having his first Australian start after showing exceptional Gr1 form I the Northern Hemisphere.
