Full-Brother To Manawanui On Debut Today

Thursday, 8th August 2013

Sir Triumphant (Oratorio-Lady Remlap, by Filante), a full-brother to Gr1 Golden Rose winner Manawanui, will make his debut at Hawkesbury today on a track likely to be rain-effected. The Chris Waller-trained 3YO colt will step out for the first time in the Panthers Maiden Plate (1300m) for 3YOs+, with Hugh Bowman engaged to ride. By Gr1-winning Irish-bred stallion Oratorio from the city winning mare Lady Remlap, Waller picked up Sir Triumphant for $185,000 at the 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Sale from the draft of Goodwood Farm. Sir Triumphant & Manawanui trace their maternal line to champion racemare Wenona Girl (Wilkes), the winner of 22 feature races, 15 of which were later designated Gr1 status.
