Farish Re-elected As Breeders' Cup Chairman
The US Breeders' Cup Board of Directors has elected Bill Farish, of Lane's End Farm, as its latest chairman, reports brisnet.com. Farish succeeds Tom Ludt, who will remain a director after chairing the board for the past two years. Farish, who served as Breeders' Cup Chairman from 2006 to April 2011, will serve a two year-term. Gainesway Farm's Antony Beck was elected vice chairman. Farish commented, "I am honoured with the privilege to serve our nominators and our participating horsemen again as Breeders' Cup Chairman." He added, "I look forward to working with our Members and Directors to strengthen our organization and to continue our mission of growth and enhancement of the Breeders' Cup World Championships as the leading international Thoroughbred racing event year after year."
