Australia Off The Agenda For Lethal Force

UK trainer Clive Cox has revealed that a trip to Australia for dual Gr1-winning sprinter Lethal Force (Dark Angel-Land Army, by Desert Style) is off the agenda, reports www1.skysports.com. Setting a new track record in the Gr1 July Cup at Newmarket, Lethal Force was invited to Melbourne's Spring Carnival where, aside from being a major drawcard, he would have been eligible for a rich Global Sprint Challenge bonus in the Gr1 Patinack Farm Classic. Cox, who is keeping the door open for a crack at the Gr1 Breeders' Cup Sprint, commented: "We were very grateful for the invitation but after lots of consideration, we have decided going to Australia looks a very difficult trip for the horse to encounter, so we've declined..."
