NZ The Oaks Keen On Reliable Man

Tuesday, 13th August 2013

Leading New Zealand nursery The Oaks appears likely to send their New Zealand Gr1 Oaks winner Artistic (Darci Brahma-Artless, by Dahar) to Westbury Stud freshman sire Reliable Man (Dalakhani-On Fair Stage, by Sadler's Wells), reports nzracing.co.nz. Artistic also captured the Listed Sunline Vase & Listed Bonecrusher Stakes among her four victories, and The Oaks general manager Rick Williams stated, "She'll probably go to Reliable Man, we bought 10 per cent of him, and it's a great mating." Reliable Man was a Gr1 winner in both hemispheres having won the Gr1 Prix du Jockey Club (2100m) at three, under the guidance of French master Alain de Royer-Dupré, and the Gr1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) at Randwick when trained by Chris Waller.
