Strong Trade At Fasig-Tipton New York Preferred Sale
At the conclusion of the two-day Fasig-Tipton New York-bred preferred yearling sale 43 yearlings sold for US$100,000 or above, pushing the sale's average up 16 per cent to US$72,480, reports drf.com. The aggregate of US$14,206,000 for 196 horses sold was up 65 per cent on the US$8,632,000 (138 horses) sold last year. The median rose 10 per cent to US$55,000, while the buyback rate dropped to 25 per cent, an improvement on the 38 per cent last year. The sales topper was a US$430,000 filly by Tapit from the stakes-winning More Than Ready mare Miss Challenge.
