Haunui Shuttler's Daughter Favoured For Gr1 Morny

Thursday, 15th August 2013

Impressive Royal Ascot winner Rizeena (Iffraaj-Serena's Storm, by Statue of Liberty) is likely to bid for her maiden Gr1 victory in the Prix Morny (6 furlongs) at Deauville on Sunday, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. The 2YO daughter of Iffraaj, who shuttles from Darley to Haunui Farm in New Zealand, has pleased trainer Clive Brittain so much in her recent workouts that he believes she is capable of winning just about any Gr1 juvenile event. "I couldn't be happier with Rizeena," said Brittain. "A couple of pieces of work she has done lately suggests' she is good enough to go anywhere, and she is more likely to go to France this weekend than the Lowther at York next week." Rizeena has won 3 of her 5 starts including the Listed National Stakes at Sandown & the G2 Queen Mary Stakes at Ascot.
