Arqana August Day-1: €1 Million Galileo Filly
On the opening day of the Arqana August Yearling Sale at Deauville, a Galileo three-parts sister to this year's Irish Oaks winner Chicquita (Montjeu-Prudenzia, by Dansili) was knocked down to Michael Magnier for €1,000,000, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. The filly was consigned by Lucien Urano's Ecurie des Monceaux which sold Chicquita to Paul Makin in 2011 for €600,000. "She is an extremely nice filly," said Michael Magnier. "She couldn't be born any better, and we'll bring her back to Ireland before deciding where she will go."
