Sincero Back On Track

Wednesday, 21st August 2013

Trainer Stephen Farley is pleased with the progress of comeback galloper Sincero, reports NZ Racing Desk. The 6YO gelding, who has not been sighted since finishing 9th behind Ocean Park in last year's Cox Plate, passed another hurdle when he trialled impressively at Rosehill Gardens yesterday morning. "He seems good, really good, but we'll take him home and sit down and assess everything before we make any set plans," explained Farley. Sincero, winner of the 2011 Gr1 Stradbroke & Gr1 George Main Handicaps, will follow the same path to the Cox Plate as last year by travelling straight to Melbourne and resuming in the Gr1 Memsie Stakes at Caulfield on August 31st, the race he won first-up last year. "That is 'Plan A' at the moment. He seems to have come back really well and he's 100 per cent sound too," Farley said.
