War Front Son Retired To Stud

Soldat (War Front-Le Relais, by Coronado's Quest), the multiple group-winning son of exciting US stallion War Front, will stand the 2014 breeding season at Woodford Thoroughbreds near Ocala, Florida, reports bloodhorse.com. The talented 5YO defied tradition by breaking his maiden status in the Gr3 With Anticipation Stakes at Saratoga before finishing runner-up to Vinery stallion Pluck in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Churchill Downs. His other feature race victory came as a 3YO in the Gr2 Fountain of Youth Stakes at Gulfstream Park. Soldat retired due to a suspensory injury with 4 wins & 4 placings from 12 starts and US$622,760 in prize money. His stud fee is yet to be announced.
