Chinese Investors Place Niarchos Sire In SAf

Thursday, 22nd August 2013

Leading South African breeders Scott Brothers have been entrusted with the stud career of the superbly bred Chinese-owned stallion Eightfold Path, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. Eightfold Path (Giant's Causeway-Divine Proportions, by Kingmambo) is a French Gr3-winning son of the Kingmambo mare Divine Proportions, the winner of 9 of 10 starts including 5 Gr1 victories. The 6YO is the latest Niarchos family-bred blueblood to sign up to South Africa's stallion ranks, joining young sire sensation Judpot. Scott Brothers will be hoping Eightfold Path can emulate the success of Judpot, an A.P. Indy half-brother to Kingmambo from the champion racemare Miesque, who has pulled off the rare feat of siring two Gr1 winners in his first crop. Eightfold Path will stand at a fee of R10,000.
