Half To Aust-Bred US Gr1 Performer On Debut Today

Friday, 23rd August 2013

Meanwhile, in the following race at Geelong, the beautifully bred colt Last Sight (Fastnet Rock-Arborea, by Imperial Prince) will debut for Flemington horseman Stephen Brown. The 3YO is a son of Fastnet Rock from the dual Gr1 winner Arborea, rendering him a half-brother to the Australian-bred Gr2 Del Mar Handicap winner Delta Form (Marscay). Delta Form was the first foal to race for One Thousand Guineas & VRC Oaks heroine Arborea, and as her only stakes performer to date, her most successful. Delta Form, who began his career in South Africa, was a talented galloper who also placed in the Gr1 Turf Classic Invitational Stakes at Belmont & the Gr1 Hollywood Turf Cup. All told, the son of Marscay won 8 of his 36 starts. Last Sight, the 10th foal to race for Arborea, was a $150,000 purchase at the 2012 Inglis Sydney Easter Yearling Sale.
