Sepoy Full-Brother To Stand In NSW
It has been announced that Cautious Time, the brother to Darley's former Australian Champion 2YO and exciting young sire Sepoy (Elusive Quality-Watchful, by Danehill) will stand his debut season this year at Hunter-based Timor Station, reports breednet.com.au. A speedy conveyance, winning 3 times at 1000m and placed a further 8 times from 14 starts for trainer Rod Northam, Cautious Time commences his stud career with a gilt-edged pedigree and high expectations on the part of Timor Station's Fiola Labron Johnson, "We are probably better known for being involved with polo, but we do have a keen interest in thoroughbreds and went to the Gold Coast in search of a colt that we could race ourselves and would have enough pedigree for a stud career down the track ... He had good ability and we considered sending him down to Sydney to be trained at one point ... What has happened with his pedigree though, has been quite amazing!" She added, "We knew Cautious Time was from a good family when we bought him, but you never dream it's going to improve like it has ... He's very similar in type to Sepoy and for those that can't afford the $66,000 fee, we hope Cautious Time can provide a value alternative." Cautious Time will stand at a fee of $6,600.
