Cauthen Wins Listed McKenzie Stakes

At Moonee Valley, The Oaks Stud's 5-time Gr1-winning & 5-time Gr1-placed stallion Darci Brahma (Danehill-Grand Echezeaux, by Zabeel) added a black-type success when classy 3YO NZ-bred Cauthen (Darci Brahma-Minori Express, by Green Line Express) scored by 1.5-lengths for trainer Andrew Campbell in the $120,000 Listed McKenzie Stakes (1200m) for 3YO c&g, over fellow colt Shamus Award (Snitzel-Sunset Express, by Success Express) & gelding Long John (Street Cry-Hosiery, by Night Shift). Cauthen looks to be on track for the Caulfield Guineas after capturing his maiden stakes success with a brilliant turn of foot. The classy kiwi took his record to 2 wins & a placing from 3 starts for $91,365.
