Historic Bhima Stud For Sale

Tuesday, 27th August 2013

The widely respected White family's iconic Scone property, Bhima, is on the market. The Whites purchased the property in 1994 from Vivian Bath, who founded the thoroughbred stud at the end of World War II. Bhima is one of the truly great Australian-owned thoroughbred studs with horses bred on the farm having featured prominently in some of Australia's most prestigious races. Some of the top quality racehorses that have been born and bred on the property include Geoff and Beryl White's much-loved 5-time Gr1 winner Eremein, winner of the Australian Derby, Rosehill Guineas, Ranvet Stakes, The BMW & Queen Elizabeth Stakes, and earner of over $4 million in prize money. Others include Gr1 winners Yippyio, Iglesia, Dandify, La Baraka, Danglissa & Defier. Comprising 396 acres of prime Upper Hunter horse country, the property is located close to other leading studs including Arrowfield, Vinery, Darley & Yarraman Park. It has been listed with MacCallum Inglis.
