Increases Across All FT Texas Indicators
The Fasig-Tipton Texas Summer Yearling Sale at Lone Park ended on a high with gains across the board, reports bloodhorse.com. The 97 yearlings sold grossed US$1,255,100, an increase of 9 per cent on the 2012 total of US$1,150,000 (113 sold). The average of US$12,939 was an impressive 27.1 per cent higher than last year (US$10,177), while this year's median of US$8,000 represented a 33.3 per cent jump on the 2012 figure (US$6,000). The equal highest-priced lots, at US$65,000, were a filly by Birdstone & a filly from the first-crop of Gr1 winner Discreetly Mine, each consigned by Lane's End Texas.
