Game On Dude's Pacific Classic Figure Revised
Meanwhile, the Beyer Speed Figure for Game On Dude's record-breaking 8-length win in last weekend's Gr1 Pacific Classic Stakes at Del Mar has been revised upward to 113, reports drf.com. The champion racehorse's official time of 2:00.69 for the 10 furlongs produced, prima facie, an implausibly slow time for the fastest horse in America this season. The published time was queried when it was discovered the Trakus timing system at Del Mar had recorded a final time of 1:59.26; a significant difference of about 1.5 seconds. Randy Moss, a member of the Beyer Speed Figure team, did a frame-by-frame analysis comparing Sunday's Pacific Classic with the 2012 race and concluded that Game On Dude ran 0.20 secs slower than Dullahan did last year, making his final time 1:59.74 seconds. That time is the basis for Game on Dude's figure of 113. Game On Dude (Awesome Again-Worldly Pleasure, by Devil His Due) has now won 15 of his 27 starts, including 7 Gr1s, for US$5,602,158 earnings.
