Star Irish Filly Set For Moyglare

Thursday, 29th August 2013

Unbeaten Irish filly Tapestry, who is pre-post favourite for next year's English Oaks, has been supplemented for Sunday's Gr1 Moyglare Stud Stakes (7 furlongs) at the Curragh, reports racingpost.com. Connections paid €22,500 to add the beautifully bred daughter of Galileo to the potential Gr1 field which will also include top fillies Rizeena (Gr2 Queen Mary Stakes), impressive last-start winner Kiyoshi (Gr3 Albany Stakes) & Tapestry's stablemate Wonderfully (Gr3 Silver Flash Stakes). Perhaps the most fascinating of Tapestry's potential rivals is the Jim Bolger-trained first-timer Prudent Approach, a full-sister to multiple Gr1-winning colt Dawn Approach. Tapestry has oozed class in both her wins to date, with a brilliant turn of foot carrying her to victory last start in the Gr2 Debutante Stakes at The Curragh. Tapestry will be bidding to emulate the 2005 feat of her outstanding dam Rumplestiltskin, who claimed the Moyglare en route to winning the Gr1Prix Marcel Boussac at Longchamp.
