Black Caviar Wins Third Consecutive Vic Crown
At a function held at Melbourne's Grand Hyatt, undefeated champion racemare Black Caviar (Bel Esprit-Helsinge, by Desert Sun) was last night crowned Victorian Horse of the Year for the third consecutive time, reports racingnetwork.com.au. Black Caviar polled the most votes, 115, to take the title from her exciting Vinery Stud freshman half-brother All Too Hard. Third placing went to Cox Plate hero and New Zealand Horse of the Year Ocean Park (Waikato Stud). The votes were cast by 49 racing media identities. Now retired for breeding, Black Caviar is visiting Exceed And Excel in her maiden season.
