Czech Farm Acquires Galileo Stallion

Monday, 2nd September 2013

Darhorse, an Irish-Czech breeding consortium, will stand Mikhail Glinka (Galileo-Lady Karr, by Mark of Esteem) at their Krabcice farm from 2014, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. The son of Galileo was a talented racehorse winning two Gr3 races, including the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot, and placing twice at Gr1-level for trainer Aidan O'Brien. "We have been going about five years now," said Darhorse manager Rostislav Kopecky. "We have a new farm, built in the style of an Irish stud." The farm has the support of several owners and breeders from Ireland. "We already have a few owners and breeders who send us mares, but we're hoping for more," said Kopecky.
