Elusive Quality Adds Ireland Gr3

Tuesday, 3rd September 2013

At The Curragh in Ireland, former Darley shuttler Elusive Quality (Gone West-Touch Of Greatness, by Hero's Honor) added a group success when exciting undefeated juvenile colt Great White Eagle (Elusive Quality-Gender Dance, by Miesque's Son) scored impressively by 2-lengths for trainer Aidan O'Brien in the €60,000 Gr3 Round Tower Stakes (6 furlongs) for 2YOs, over 2YO filly Remember You (Invincible Spirit-Miss Dela, by King's Best) & fellow colt & stable mate Expedition (Oasis Dream-Littlefeather, by Indian Ridge). This was Great White Eagle's first stakes success and took his record to 2 wins from 2 starts for €49,350 earnings. Earlier this year, Great White Eagle set a European breeze-up record when selling for 760,000 guineas at the Tattersalls Craven Sale. The juvenile is held in high regard at Ballydoyle and holds several big race entries. Post-race O'Brien told racinguk.com, "He could step up anywhere now. It's a choice of the National Stakes or the Middle Park and all those types of races. What's good about this horse is he has great pace and travels very strongly."
