Botti Chasing Moore For Dandino Cup Ride

Thursday, 5th September 2013

UK trainer Marco Botti is hoping that Ryan Moore will be available to partner the Australian-owned Dandino (Dansili-Generous Diana, by Generous) when he lines up in the Melbourne Cup at Flemington on November 5, reports racinguk.com. The UK-bred 6YO entire joined Botti earlier this year after being purchased by Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock. Moore was aboard Dandino when he landed the American St Leger (13.5 furlongs) at Arlington Park last month and Botti is obviously keen to maintain the association. Dandino is following an identical path to stable mate Jakkalberry who won last year's St Leger before finishing third to Green Moon in the Melbourne Cup. Botti explained Dandino is doing very well and will enter quarantine to go to Australia in the next ten days. "We are looking forward to going to Australia with him and he will probably run in the Caulfield Cup, if all goes well, before going to the Melbourne Cup," Botti revealed. "We are hoping Ryan will keep the ride on him, but obviously it is hard to pin him down now for a race in early November, so we'll just have to see."
