Settle Strada Looking For Fifth Straight Black-Type

Friday, 6th September 2013

Exciting West Australian sprinter Settle Strada (Strada-Unsettled, by Thunder Gulch) will be bidding for his fifth consecutive stakes success when he lines up in the $100,000 Listed Farnley Stakes (1400m) at Belmont tomorrow. The 5YO son of Riverdene Stud stallion Strada is undefeated so far this campaign with each victory registered at stakes level. Indeed, Settle Strada became the first horse to win all four winter sprints when posting an easy 2.75-lengths win in the Goodwood Sprint last-start. His other feature race wins have been in the Listed Beaufine Stakes, HG Bolton Sprint & Belmont Newmarket Handicap. Settle Strada, who will be asked to carry equal top weight of 59kg, will be opposed by 9 rivals with the highly promising Galiletto likely to prove his biggest danger. The 6YO Galileo gelding is resuming off a 6-month break and is building an imposing record himself with 7 wins from 12 starts.
