Sea Moon's Immediate Future In Doubt

Monday, 9th September 2013

Spring plans for multiple Gr2-winning UK import Sea Moon (Beat Hollow-Eva Luna, by Alleged) are in limbo after the 6YO pulled up sore following his Australian debut in the Makybe Diva Stakes at Flemington on Saturday. Sea Moon sprawled and nearly fell shortly after the start, finishing tailed off behind the Chris Waller-trained Foreteller. Owner Lloyd Williams told racingnetwork.com.au that it would be another week before any decision was made regarding Sea Moon's race next. "I don't think we'll know for a week," Williams said. Williams confirmed that his other international Cup hopefuls, Ranked and Thought Worthy had also pulled up sore. "I've got three quite sore horses," commented Williams. "It was very disappointing, very disappointing."
