Prince Harada Gets The Other Visitors Draw
In racing parlance, the tongue-in-cheek 'visitors draw' is usually reserved for when a horse draws the car park. Depending on how his charge Prince Harada jumps, visiting Victorian trainer Tony Vasil may be wishing that the boom colt had drawn a little wider than the normally attractive extreme inside marble he's been allocated in Saturday's Gr1 Golden Rose in Sydney. A massive, gangly and green 3YO colt who could struggle if cluttered up on the fence, Prince Harada may have to be ridden for luck in the straight by jockey Hugh Bowman if he is to overcome the traffic of the capacity 17-horse field. The colt's connections paid a $50,000 late fee to be in the race where he will clash with a stellar bunch of sophomore male contemporaries.
