Nicholson Keynote Speaker At Upcoming IFHA Conference
Former Keeneland Association president Nick Nicholson will discuss the promotion of international competition as well as industry challenges as the keynote speaker at the International Conference of Horseracing Authorities in France on October 7, reports bloodhorse.com. Nicholson will speak about the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) conference's main topic, developing and promoting international competition, as well as the challenges and important issues he has encountered during his esteemed career. The IFHA conference will focus on two main topics: 1) the challenges faced with the international movement of horses, which will feature presentations from Bernard Vallat, director general of the World Organization for Animal Health, and Dr Brian Stewart, Racing Victoria's head of Equine Welfare and Veterinary Services and chairman of the International Movement of Horses Committee; and 2) the marketing and branding of horse racing. There will also be a panel discussion that will be moderated by Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, CEO of the HKJC and vice chairman of the IFHA.
